We take our leave of the great Barbara Thompson (see previous three posts) and, indeed, husband Jon Hiseman, with the title track from Paraphernalia's 2005 album "Never Say Goodbye". The song features Barbara and Jon's daughter Ana Gracey guesting on haunting vocals, delicately capturing the North African nuances that the band brings out in the original Argentinian dance rhythms. Reminds me of the atmosphere of the Arturo Perez Reverte tango novel "What We Become", that blend of lush romance and tough backstreet.

Classic Thompson composition, totally brilliant and original. And wonderful to listen to.
